| Both queen beds were infested with bed bugs. I had never seen them before, but a quick internet search with pics confirmed it. This was the worst hotel experience we ever had. No manager on site late at night. Desk person didn't seem surprised, affected or concerned at all by the presence of these bugs. He did refund all our money right away but put in the report that the bedroom had fleas - now which one is worse? |

Stayed 7/06
No problems. Great beach access.
I did notice a smell on the 1st floor hallways, probably the carpet soured from being wet. We stayed on 2nd floor and no smell there.
Very clean, good breakfasts.
Staff was always cleaning.
We would stay again. |

| My family (husband, 2 daughters now 7 & 9) have vacationed at SPI the past 2 years and plan to return this year mid-June. We were there for hurricane Emily last year and were almost the only family left at La Copa. We had more fun getting to know the managment and staff than we did the year before. Both stays have been awesome, the rooms were the best and the attitudes of staff were nothing short of accomidating. We would postpone our vacation if we could not get a room there. The staff and management at this hotel became more like old friends or family than just employees by the end of our stay durring the hurricane. Thanks for a fantastic vacation spot we love returning to each year La Copa Staff! |
