| Overview: |
The crown jewel of the Cameron County Park system is located on South Padre Island's southernmost point. Over one mile of white beach lines the Gulf of Mexico and offers abundant waterfront recreational facilities with picnic and playground areas for the kids. The park also features a fishing jetty, restaurants, clubs, a university laboratory station with exhibits for visitors, chapel, full service marina with daily charters, one of the best Schlitterbahn Waterparks in the country and a boat ramp just for park guests. Over 600 RV spaces are available at a great price of INSERT PRICE HERE. Entry is $4 per vehicle ($2 per motorcycle) before 5pm, and $2 after.
Rules: Pets must be kept on leash (droppings must be tended to), campers must check out at office before leave in order to receive deposit refund (refunds are only reimbursed by check), only one RV/vehicle per site (other vehicles may be parked in the parking area). For an additional $12/night, a tent may accompany an RV/vehicle (e.g. 1 RV and 1 tent or 2 tents). LIkewise, there shall be no more than 2 units or 2 vehicles per designated spot. Checkout time is 11:00am. An RV site may only be occupied by you for a maximum of 6 months, however, you may be able to relocate to another spot. You are also encouraged to follow evacuation measures and follow all orders issued in case of a hurricane. More details available here. |
