There are 4 beach parks under the Cameron County Park System that were created to provide safe, quality outdoor rereation opportunities to the citizens and visitors of Cameron Country at an affordable price. The Edwin King Atwood County Park is the smallest of these parks and features just enough of the basic amenities for the visitor: a beachfront picnic pavailion, concessions, and a beach access road which opens up 25+ miles of beach driving for the hard core adventurous (4x4 vehicles are recommended). Entry is $4/vehicle. RV hookups wil be available in the winter of 2005. Camping allowed.
