| The food is terriffic. The restaurant is loud, and can take up to two hours to get a table, but you can get food to go a lot quicker. Don't go home without trying the shrimp here - my wife has never like shrimp until trying the fried shrimp here! I also enjoyed the blackened and boiled shrimp here. You get plenty of food for 10.00 per plate or less also. You can spend a lot more at other restaurants, but you won't find anything that tastes better than Dirty Als! |

| This place is a dive, but in a really good way. The fried shrimp and fried oysters are delicous, and I love whatever it is they have on the table in a squeeze bottle called "hot sauce"! Just fish and fries, folks (with some cold beer), but it is great. |

Grew up on "fish camps" back in SC & NC. I can truthfully say that Dirty Al's blows away anything I have ever had. Three things make it the best: fresh, hot, lightly coated. Many other place are greasy and overly breaded. Although it is not much to look at on the outside or inside, it is the best seafood you will find in South Texas (or the Carolinas) at a very reasonable price.
My wife, kids, and I are hooked. |

March 4, 2006. Stopped in to the bait store? (hubby thought it was really only a bait store. We each had a platter of deep-fried shrimp (recommended by people we had met) and absolutely loved it - best deep fried shrimp we have tasted. Atmosphere is great - by no means a "fine-dining" experience, but a "fun-dining" experience. Will definitely stop in again when we are down Texas way. So busy we were sharing a table with another couple, which was very enjoyable as well. Highly recommend Dirty Al's to anyone who likes seafood, noise, and good times.

| We went with friends on a Fri. afternoon there was 8 of us, it was recomended to share a plater of 20 fish & 20 shrimp between 4 people. Wow that was alot of food but it was sooo good!! Very lightly battered & not real greasey. We also had a 1bl of peel shrimp very grand. A few of our friends stayed several days longer & went back 3 times. Tottally loved it. |
