| Overview: |
Want fine dining at a moderate price? At De Luna Bayside Bar Grill, you will be delighted with a familiar, yet creative menu where the emphasis is on taste, presentation and atmosphere. The downstairs restaurant offers a casual atmosphere overlooking the Laguna Madre Bay. The upstairs portion of the restaurant is the fine dining, upscale section and offers classical foods mixed with new age cuisine. The dinner menu changes frequently subject to inspiration. A 5 to 12 course menu tasting prepared by Chef De Luna features delicate salads, fresh seafood, meat dishes and the pastry of the day. All courses can be complimented with a wine tasting menu. Reservations suggested.

We had dinner at De Luna on the 4th of July. We picked it because of its location to the fireworks. We came last year (not on the 4th) and had a very pleasant experience.
This year the whole experience was terrible.
They served a fixed price buffet and they never had any food on the buffet. What they did have wasn't good. Then on top of that, they charged a 22% tip on a buffet. When we spoke the management, he was rude and dismissive instead of apologetic. I personally cannot recommend this restaurant and will never return. |

| At present the only upscale restaurant on the island since the Lantern Grill and The Grill Room and Pantry have closed. Food is elegantly prepared and presented. A pretty good wine list, but prices are high. Great place to watch the fireworks on their upstairs terrace. Dining room upstairs is white tablecloth, but casual. Downstairs dining in more informal. |
