Located on the northern portion of South Padre Island, Andy Bowie Park is the last full RV hookup site with amenities before you hit the 30+ miles of beach to the Port Mansfield area (the halfway point between Corpus Christi and SPI). Andy Bowie is next to the Island's convention center and its popular Laguna Madre Nature Trail. It's a much smaller version of the huge "Isla Blanca Park" on the other end of town, but many people like Bowie for its isolation, relaxation and its primitive nature. The park provides beachfront covered picnic areas, concessions, a children's playground, shower/bathroom facilities, 18 full RV hook-up spaces, and a ranger station. Nearby, you can find horseback riding and another beach access road that opens up over 25+ miles of coastline for you to drive on (be sure you have a 4x4 for that). Entry is $4 per vehicle.
