Wonder, beautiful restaurant! This restaurant has the best red snapper and grouper I have ever eaten in my liffe.

We were excited to go to this restaurant as they advertise as being one of the top 500 restaurants in the United States. Unfortunately, the Sea Ranch is really just an average place. First of all, we had called ahead to make a reservation for a party of six on a Friday night. We were told that they were not busy so to just come in. When we arrived we were then told that they don't take reservations anyway--seems like the person on the phone could have mentioned that. It took about 25 minutes to get a table. We are pretty easy going so we could deal with that. When seated, we had a nice table on the water front and the waiter appeared promptly. We thought, now we are in for a treat.

We ordered various dishes from the lobster to filet mignon and crab legs. Parts of the dinner were good but the filet's were overcooked for three of us. The lobster was seasoned so strong that it was difficult to taste the lobster--maybe this is a texas thing but not what we have experienced before. On the good side, the crab legs were good as they were large with lots of meat.

Overall, we were disappointed. We spent over $200 without desserts and appetizers--we felt we went to a good restaurant but not to a "top 500" place.

We would not go back again.
